I set out to learn about photography
so I read about the speed of a shutter,
the opening aperature, and touched
all these buttons and dials

but when it all came down to it
its all just measuring light

and isn’t that what we are all doing?
I make art, some take photos, others are counselors,
gardeners, painters, bankers, poets, and teachers.
and it’s all just a different way to measure the light

and from where I sit, it’s brilliant.
all of it, all of you
are so so bright.
